Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of the intersections of North Dr MLK Jr Drive at Center, Clarke, and Wright. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 90 percent Federal and State aid and 10 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $2,229,780 with a City share of $519,780 and a grantor share of $1,710,000. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $257,500 with an estimated City share of $25,750 and a grantor share of $231,750. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of the intersections of North Dr MLK Jr Drive at Center, Clarke, and Wright with Federal and State aid under the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP); and
