Title
Resolution declaring a vacant lot at 2602 North 59th Street surplus to municipal needs and authorizing its sale to Catherine D. Hearn for green space, in the 10th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot for use as green space.
Body
Whereas, Catherine D. Hearn has submitted an Offer to Purchase in the amount of $1,000 for the vacant, tax-deed lot at 2602 North 59th Street, which adjoins her single-family home at 2606 North 59th Street; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of said Offer; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said vacant, tax-deed lot is declared surplus, that the Offer to Purchase from Catherine D. Hearn is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proceeds from the sale, less any sale expenses and a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement paid to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
