Body

Whereas, The plaintiff, Roosevelt Ross, has commenced a lawsuit against the City seeking damages of $250,000 for an accident occurring on June 9, 2015; and

Whereas, A settlement favorable to all parties has been reached; and

Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this lawsuit; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $125,000.00, payable to the order of the Trust Account of Cannon & Dunphy, S.C. as soon as practicable, said amount to be charged to (DA)636506-0001-1490-2631-S118.
