This resolution authorizes the sale of part of a vacant, City-owned parcel of land.
BODY:
Whereas, Lizbeth M. Garcia, owner of the property located at 2079 West Oklahoma Avenue, Tax Key No. 534-0231-2, has offered to purchase part of the City-owned land at 2079 Adjoining West Oklahoma Avenue, Tax Key No. 534-0243-8, which is directly East of her property for the amount of $250; and

Whereas, This land abuts a railroad right-of-way and Ms. Garcia will have said land attached to her existing property and made one continuous parcel of land; and

Whereas, Said land is being sold in an "as is" condition and the City of Milwaukee makes no representations or warranties concerning the condition of the property, including but not limited to soil and subsoil conditions; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said land to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other City-owned/tax deed land pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the North 120 feet of the City-owned land located at 2079 Adjoining West Oklahoma Avenue, Tax Key No. 534-0243-8, is declared surplus and that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to accept the unsolicited Offer to Purchase and said land to Lizbeth M. Garcia at a price of $250; and, be it
