Substitute resolution relative to the acceptance of 2018-19 County Substance Abuse Coalition grant funding for $18,000 from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in the amount of $18,000 for County Substance Abuse Coalition. The purpose of this grant will allow us to create a broader sustainable structure focused on the opioid epidemic.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services strengthen services; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant program from 09.01.2018 to 08.31.2019 would cost $18,000 completely funded by the Grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application of this grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2018 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Project fund, the following amount for the project titled County Substance Abuse Coalition Grant:
