This motion directs the Department of City Development to initiate a zoning map amendment to assign a single zoning designation, Two-Family Residential (RT4), to the property located at 454 North 28th Street.
Body
Whereas, In 2017, the City sold a vacant lot with the address of 2725 West Clybourn Street to the adjacent property owner, who combined it with his home located at 454 North 28th Street; and
Whereas, One of the lots involved in this parcel consolidation was zoned Two-Family Residential, RT4, while the other was zoned Local Business, LB2, resulting in a single parcel with mixed zoning; and
Whereas, Given the residential nature of this site, as well as the residential character of the entire block face to the south, it would be appropriate to correct the mixed zoning situation by amending the zoning map so that the entire site is zoned Two-Family Residential; and
Whereas, Section 295-307-2-b of the Code of Ordinances provides that an amendment to the zoning map may be initiated by a motion of the Common Council; now, therefore
It is moved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to draft and introduce an ordinance to amend the zoning map by assigning a single zoning designation, Two-Family Residential (RT4), to the parcel located at 454 North 28th Street.
