Whereas, The Milwaukee Worker's Website provides a vital tool for connecting low and moderate - income workers and their families to important community resources; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division is responsible for the maintenance of this website; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration has received offers of private contributions to help defray costs related to the maintenance and updating of this website; and
Whereas, Creation of a fund will allow the Department of Administration to accept contributions from private organizations; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division is authorized to accept and expend up to $50,000 in private contributions for the maintenance and updating of the Milwaukee Worker's Website; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is directed to establish a special account within the Department of Administration budget for the expenditure of the funds; and, be it
