This ordinance repeals a sunset provision (sunset date, May 21, 1999 - 18 months after effective date of common council file #971021) authorizing the commissioner of neighborhood services to assess an owner of record a monthly code enforcement fee of $50 for failure to comply with the commissioner's order to record a property with the department of neighborhood services as required by the city's residential and commercial building recording program.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 3 of common council file #971021, passed November 4, 1997, is repealed.
