Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Revised Project Agreement with the WISDOT for the inclusion of street lighting work in the reconstruction of West Center Street between North 92nd Street and North 76th Street. The City share of this street lighting work is estimated at $49,000.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 010810 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the WISDOT for programming and reconstruction of West Center Street between North 92nd Street and North 76th Street with 80% Federal and/or State aid funds under the Surface Transportation Program; and

Whereas, The Project Agreement did not include street lighting as an eligible cost; and

Whereas, Street lighting costs are compensable because the construction project makes it necessary to install temporary lighting during construction and narrowing the street impacts the lighting system's existing underground components and pole locations; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has requested and the WISDOT has submitted a Revised Project Agreement to include street lighting as a cost participating item (80%) for City execution; now, therefore, be it
