Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File 040138 relative to acceptance and expenditure of contributions received by the Milwaukee Health Department for the promotion of Maternal and Child Health and Infant Mortality Initiatives in order to improve birth outcomes and children’s health.

Body
Whereas, The Common Council adopted file number 040138 on June 15, 2004, a resolution authorizing the Health Department to accept and expend private donations up to the amount of $30,000 for the purpose of promoting infant mortality initiatives; and

Whereas, The Health Department anticipates receiving an additional $150,000 from various organizations and/or foundations for the promotion of Maternal and Child Health and infant mortality initiatives; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department is authorized to accept an additional $150,000 of contributions for the department’s Maternal and Child Health and infant mortality initiatives and to expend such funds for this purpose or any purpose specified by the contributor, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-D001-006300, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-9990-0001-009850, to the Health Department’s special account, 0001-3810-0001-006300-D386 and the Health Department’s Estimated Revenue Account, 0001-3810-0001-009850, up to an additional amount...
