ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit to Zenith Tech, Inc. allowing temporary occupancy of West Carmen Avenue between North Lovers Lane Road and North 117th Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The State of Wisconsin has contracted with Zenith Tech, Inc for the rehabilitation of U.S. Highway 45; and
Whereas, This rehabilitation work includes the deck replacement of the bridges that pass over West Carmen Avenue and will require that West Carmen Avenue be closed during the demolition phase of the work; and
Whereas, The work on U.S. Highway 45 is to take place in two phases and therefore will require the West Carmen be closed for each phase of the project; and
Whereas, Zenith Tech, Inc. has requested a permit to occupy West Carmen Avenue for one week starting approximately April 11, 2000 and for another one week in June, 2000; and
Whereas, Zenith Tech, Inc. will work with the Department of Public Works to establish a traffic control plan that minimizes the public inconvenience associated with the street closure; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to issue permits for temporary occupancy of up to one-third of public rights-of-way while temporary occupancy beyond that must be approved by the Common Council; now therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to issue a permit to Zenith Tech, Inc. allowing the company to occupy West Carmen Avenue between North Lovers Lane and North 117th Street for one week starting approximately April 11, 2000 and for another one week period in June, 2000.
