Title

Substitute ordinance relating to the amendment of the Flood Plain District boundary along a portion of the Lincoln Creek, in the 1st, 2nd, 7th and 9th Aldermanic Districts.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance will amend the boundary of the 100-year flood plain along a portion of the Lincoln Creek.

Body

The Mayor and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances a new section to read as follows:

 

Section 295-1011.0002. The zoning map is amended to revise portions of the Flood Plain District boundary along the Lincoln Creek watershed as shown on the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (“FIRM”) Panel Numbers 550278 0011C, 550278 0018C and 550278 0019C, Effective Date: November 15, 2005. The revision includes portions of land to be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area (“SFHA”) in Lincoln Creek from approximately 220 feet upstream of the Chicago and North Western Railroad to just upstream of North Green Bay Avenue and is more particularly shown on file in the office of the City Clerk.
