This substitute resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to make the necessary alterations to a water service connection to the island in West Burleigh Street from North 60th Street to North Sherman Boulevard at an estimated cost of $1,700.00 upon approval of the project by the Common Council. West Burleigh Street from North 60th Street to North Sherman Boulevard is scheduled for improvement in 2000 with Federal/State Aid.

BODY:
Whereas, The improvement of West Burleigh Street from North 60th Street to North Sherman Boulevard with Federal/State Aid is proposed to be undertaken in 2000; and

Whereas, An island will be modified as part of the street improvement requiring alteration of the water service connection to the concealed irrigation system in the island; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works, upon approval of the West Burleigh Street Project, is hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary alteration to the water service connection to the island at the intersection of North 60th Street, West Burleigh Street and West Roosevelt Drive; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer, within the Capital Grant and Aids Project Fund, to the Water Service Connection (Island) West Burleigh Street from North 60th Street to North Sherman Boulevard subaccount the amount of $1,700.00 but not to exceed a 10 percent increase or whichever is greater, in the amou...
