This resolution approves the plat of right-of-way for Project I.D. 1360-01-20; West Fond du Lac Avenue between North 36th Street and North 19th Street. It also authorizes the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) to acquire lands or interests in lands as shown on the plat of right-of-way for the project. The total estimated cost of $274,800 will be paid for, in full, by the WISDOT. __________________________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 890251 on June 6, 1989, authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with WISDOT for the programming and construction of West Fond du Lac Avenue between North 36th Street and North 19th Street with State and/or Federal cost participation under the State Trunk Highway Improvement Program; and

Whereas, The project will be approved for 86 percent State and/or Federal cost participation for construction under the State Trunk Highway Improvement Program; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and the WISDOT have acquired the consulting firm, Edwards and Associates, Inc. to undertake the engineering work for the subject project; and

Whereas, Edwards and Associates, as part of the preliminary engineering for this project, has completed a right-of-way plat to include real estate needed for the proposed new alignment; and

Whereas, It is necessary that the Common Council approve the plat of right-of-way required for the aforementioned project and authorize the WISDOT to acquire land or interests in lands, as shown on the right-of-way plat; now, therefore, be it
