Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Milwaukee Recreation to assist in the redevelopment of a playground.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the City of Milwaukee that South 3rd Street north of West Lincoln Avenue to a point in the block bounded by West Becher Street, the Kinnickinnic River, West Lincoln Avenue and South 4th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said right-of-way in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
