This resolution is in response to a Common Council directive which requires the Commissioner of Public Works to determine any accruing benefits as a result of a vacation. The Commissioner, having reviewed the vacation, has determined there are no benefits.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, on March 20, 1998, adopted File Number 971816 directing the Commissioner of Public Works to assess the benefits and damages in the vacation of the unimproved right-of-way adjacent to Lot 3 in the Fractional West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 21, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, or Gammon Float plus the unimproved right-turn bypass at the Northwest corner of E. Lyon St. and N. Van Buren St. located in the 3rd Aldermanic District of the City of Milwaukee; and
 
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works is required by law to assess any benefits or damages accruing or arising from said vacation; and
 
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works has found that there are no benefits or damages accruing or arising from said vacation; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works has reviewed the vacation and determined that no assessment benefits and damages are due.
