Title

Analysis
This ordinance, to be effective July 1, 2001, adjusts various fees to increase revenues to be received during the 2001 budget year. Adjustments include building permits – commercial apartments, $0.06 increase per square foot, and one-and 2-family dwellings $0.075 increase per square foot.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 60-81-2 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
60-81. Swimming and Other Water Use Facility Operating Licenses.
2. The fee for each swimming or other water use facility operating license shall be $175.
Part 2. Section 81-102.3 of the code is amended to read:
81-102.3 Purchasing Appeals. The fee required for a vendor to appeal bid specifications and recommendations for awards pursuant to s.16-05 of the charter and s.310-19 of the code shall be [[$76]] >>1% of the amount of the bid being appealed<<.
Part 3. Section 200-33-5-a-1 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
200-33. Fees.
5. BUILDING PERMITS. a. Commercial Buildings, New Construction and Additions.
a-1. The fee for all commercial buildings and structures shall be computed per square foot, using the definition set forth in s.200-08-86.2, as follows:
a-1-a. Commercial apartments: $0.18 per square foot.
a-1-b. Commercial/industrial/manufacturing: $0.12 per square foot.
a-1-c. All other commercial buildings: $0.18 per square foot.
Part 4. Section 200-33-5-b-1 of the code is amended to read:
b. Dwellings, New Construction and Additions.
b-1. The fee for all one-and 2-family dwellings shall be computed at [[$0.075]] >> $0.15<< per square foot, using the definition set forth in s.200-08-86.2.
