This resolution amends Common Council File 041302 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the MBCAP Outreach Grant. The purpose of the grant is to educate women ages 40 and over on breast health, breast self-exam and breast cancer screening guidelines.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 041302 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the MBCAP Outreach Grant from the Komen Foundation to educate women ages 40 and over on breast health, breast self-exam and breast cancer screening guidelines. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $50,000; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $12,500; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Komen Foundation is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2006 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Funds, the following amount for the project titled MBCAP - Outreach Grant:
