Substitute resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Mitchell Investment Properties, II, owner of the Hills Building, to allow them to provide security services at a City-owned parking lot located at S. 9th Street and Mitchell Street.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Mitchell Investment Properties, II to allow for the provision of security services at the City-owned parking lot utilized by employees of the Hills Building.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Mitchell Investment Properties, II to allow Mitchell Investment Properties to contract for a uniformed security officer to patrol the City-owned parking lot located at S. 9th Street and Mitchell Street; and

Whereas, It is considered by the parties desirable and in the best interests of the safety and convenience of the public that such an agreement be reached between the parties regarding the provision of security services at the City-owned parking lot; and

Whereas, All costs associated with the security services will be borne solely by Mitchell Investment Properties, II and all individuals performing such services under the agreement will be required to sign waivers of liability drafted by the City; and

Whereas, Mitchell Investment Properties, II agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the City harmless for injuries, death or property damage resulting from the performance of the work under this agreement; and

Whereas, The Agreement reflects all other terms and conditions approved by the parties; and

Whereas, The Agreement shall be in effect for one year from its date of execution and shall be terminated by either party upon five days written notice; now, therefore, be it
