This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install traffic control signals at the intersection of W. Heather Avenue and N. 91st Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council previously adopted Resolution File Number 961529 on February 11, 1997 to establish the subaccount 31-064-1010 to install traffic signals at the intersection of W. Dean Road and N. 91st Street; and
Whereas, The intersection of W. Heather Avenue and N. 91st Street has met two of the warrants for the installation of traffic signals contained in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices; and
Whereas, The intersection of W. Heather Avenue and N. 91st Street serves more traffic than the intersection of W. Dean Road and N. 91st Street and imminent increases loom as the buildings currently under construction fronting W. Heather Avenue west of N. 91st Street are completed; and
Whereas, The installation of traffic signals for the intersection of W. Dean Road and N. 91st Street will be scheduled for installation at future date under a separate resolution; and
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to install traffic control signals at the intersection of W. Heather Avenue at N. 91st Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to redesignate the appropriate subaccount as indicated:
