Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the funding of the installation and modifications of traffic control signals and on portions of West Clybourn Street, West St. Paul Avenue and adjoining streets in conjunction with Marquette Interchange Reconstruction West Contract. Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install and modify signals and signs on West Clybourn Street/West Tory Hill from North 10th Street to a point west of North 18th Street, on West Clybourn Street from a point east of North 20th Street to a point west of North 25th Street, on West St. Paul Avenue from North 5th Street to a point west of North 6th Street and on adjoining streets in conjunction with the next stage of reconstruction of the Marquette Interchange known as the West Contract. Funding for the construction of these improvements is to be provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation under the Federally funded State Highway Improvement Program as part of the interchange project.

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing the Marquette Interchange (IH 94, USH 41, IH 43, and IH 794) under the State Highway Improvement Program; and
Whereas, The Interchange reconstruction project provides cost participation for the modifications for the traffic signals and traffic signs; and
Whereas, The total estimated cost of modifications of the traffic signals and traffic signs included as part of this project is $25,486.01; and
Whereas, A maximum of ten percent of the participating project cost, or $2,548.60 is non-reimbursable and is included in the Division's 2004 Capital Purpose Account, Project/Grant Number ST320040000; and
Whereas, A minimum of ninety percent of the participating cost, or $22,937.41...
