Title
Resolution relating to appeals and applications to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Board of Zoning Appeals to require that each appeal or application for a variance, special use permit or beneficial use determination include each of the following items before being scheduled for hearing by the Board:
1. A specific contact person within the entity submitting the appeal or application.
2. An e-mail address for the appellant or applicant in addition to a telephone number.
3. A requirement that the appeal or application be free of internal inconsistencies, for example, citing hours of operations in one portion of the appeal or application that differ from hours of operations cited in another portion of the appeal or application.

Whereas, An appeal or application submitted to the Board of Zoning Appeals which omits specific and functioning contact information hinders a thorough review of the appeal or application before hearing by the Board; and
Whereas, An appeal or application submitted to the Board of Zoning Appeals which contains internal inconsistencies makes it difficult for Board members to fully understand the appellant or applicant’s intent; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Board of Zoning Appeals is directed to require that the appeal or application for a variance, special use permit or beneficial use determination include each of the following items before being scheduled for hearing by the Board:
