ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Great Lakes Cryptosporidium Grant from the University of Wisconsin Seagrant Institute. The purpose of the grant is to determine if cryptosporidium reservoirs are present in the sediments of harbors, near shore sites, near the municiapl water intakes and other sites in Lake Michigan.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the University of Wisconsin Seagrant Institute to determine if cryptosporidium reservoirs are present in sites in Lake Michigan; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the University of Wisconsin Seagrant Institute is authorized.
