Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Department of Public Works, since said alley is not needed for public purposes.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of the alley in the block bounded by vacated West Plainfield Avenue, West Waterford Avenue, vacated South 4th Street and South 5th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
