ANLS:
This resolution amends file number 991003 by changing the amount of 18,074.25 paid to Eggert Law Offices, S.C. to $17,106.25 for the defense of various Police Officers and authorizes a payment of $968.00 to Attorney Kenneth J. Murray of Adelman, Adelman & Murray, S.C., for defense of Police Officer Barry Koch.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council on November 9, 1999 adopted file number 991003 which authorized settling the claim of Eggert Law Offices, S.C. for the defense of various Police Officers in the amount of $18,074.25 which inadvertently included $968.00 which was due to Attorney Kenneth Murray, Adelman, Adelman and Murray, S.C. for the defense of Barry Koch; and
Whereas, The Eggert Law office on 12/28/99 submitted their check no. 1956 in the amount of $968.00 to the City of Milwaukee for reimbursement of the erroneous amount paid to that law office; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that file number 991003 be amended to change the amount of $18,074.25 to $17,106.25 as the amount paid to Eggert Law Offices, S.C. and to delete Barry Koch $968.00, and be it
Further Resolved, That the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a check in the sum of $968.00 payable to Attorney Kenneth J. Murray, Adelman, Adelman & Murray, S.C., 845 North 11th Street, 53233, to reimburse him for legal fees for defense of Barry Koch in the amount of $968.00; and be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Account No. 636505, Fund -001, Organization - 1490, Program - 263, Sub Class - S1...
