- ANALYSIS -
In 1997, the Common Council approved funding and construction for a nonassessable public improvement sewer project. Additional funds are necessary to construct a pile foundation system to support the s ewer due to poor soil condition. This resolution increases funding for the sewer project so that the work may be undertaken.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on January 17, 1997 adopted File Number 961348 approving the authorized funding for a nonassessable sewer project, and
Whereas, This funding resolution is still valid and provide necessary partial funding authorization for this sewer project, and
Whereas, Soil boring tests indicate the need to implement a pile foundation system to support the sewer; and
Whereas, Additional funds must be authorized to undertake the following improvement:

W. Oklahoma Ave. - S. 28th St. to W. Forest Home Ave. (854-0022-8) File Number 912398: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Relief and Relay Sewer Fund 31-549---171-0001 -- $74,000)
;now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital purpose subaccounts.
