Analysis

This Resolution authorizes and directs the City Comptroller to create the necessary account to pay the local share of the right-of-way cost for West Fond du Lac Avenue (STH 145) between North 36^th Street and North 19^th Street.  The City's share of the right-of-way costs is estimated at $20,000.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 000012 on May 19, 2000, which approved the plat of right-of-way required for the improvement of West Fond du Lac Avenue between North 36^th Street and North 19^th Street:

Project I.D. 1360-01-20

West Fond du Lac Avenue from North 36^th Street to North 19^th Street; and

Whereas, The City's share of the right-of-way costs for the project were included as part of the project's engineering proposed in the 1998 Federal/State Aid Major Streets Improvement Program budget; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to create within the Capital Improvement Fund, Grant and Aid Projects, the necessary account for the real estate project (Expenditure) and transfer to these accounts the amount required under the grant agreement and City accounting policy, but not to exceed a 10 percent increase of the total amounts reserved for the grantor's share and local share, and transfer as follows:

Further Resolved, That upon receipt of invoices from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT), the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to approve and make periodic payments to the WISDOT for the City's share of the costs of the project.
