Title
Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $110,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,100,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $110,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,100,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
7th Aldermanic District
N. Sherman Blvd. - W. Burleigh St. to W. Capitol Dr. (SM499240024) File Number 231828; Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $50,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
7th and 15th Aldermanic District
N. Sherman Blvd. - W. North Ave. to W. Burleigh St. (SM499240023) File Number 231828; Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $50,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
14th Aldermanic District
S. Shore Dr. - E. Texas Ave. to E. Meredith St. (ST211240154) Permeable pavement reconstruction and grading. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $10,000) The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $500,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026-27 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
