Title

Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2005 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:

Department of Administration, Budget and Management Section, Department of City Development, Fire Department, Health Department, Department of Public Works - Water Works.

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective June 13, 2005):

 

Under "Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Office of the Commissioner", add footnote designation "(X)" to 25 positions of "Team Leader (B)" and add footnote "(X)" to read as follows: "Private automobile allowance may be paid pursuant to Section 350-183 of the Milwaukee Code."

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2005 - July 3, 2005):

 

Under "Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit", delete one position of "Fire Captain" and add one position "Battalion Chief Fire (B)" and add footnote "(B)" to read as follows: " To expire 11/30/05 unless the Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant, available from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is extended."

 

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under "Department of Administration, Budget and Management Division, Budget and Management Section", delete one position of "Budget and Management Analyst-Lead" and add one position of "Budget and Management Special Assistant."

 

Under "Health Department" amended footnote "(W)" to read as follows: "To expire 06/30/06 unless the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant is extended."

 

Under "Department of Public Works, Water Works, Business Organization, Accounting Services Section", delete one position of "Claims Adjuster Specialist" and add one position "Water Claims Specialist."

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after June 13, 2005.

 

The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2005 (July 3, 2005).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 6.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
