This resolution accepts two Quit Claim Deeds conveying land to the City of Milwaukee by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to be used for the realignment of North Commerce Street between East Pleasant Street and North Holton Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is desirous of acquiring certain parcels of land owned by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, said land being needed for the realignment of North Commerce Street between East Pleasant Street and North Holton Street; and
Whereas, The Executive Director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District has executed two Quit Claim Deeds conveying their interest in those portions of land; and
Whereas, These deeds have been approved by the Office of the City Attorney as to form and execution; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that these two Quit Claim Deeds executed by the Executive Director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District conveying their interests in certain parcels of land to the City of Milwaukee needed for the realignment of North Commerce Street between East Pleasant Street and North Holton Street are hereby accepted, subject to a satisfactory environmental audit of the property pursuant to Section 308-22.2.h. of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances and that it be forwarded to the Department of City Development for completion of the environmental audit, recording and proper distribution.
