Body

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) owns and manages more than 4,000 units of low-rent public housing under the terms of an Annual Contributions Contract with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and

WHEREAS, HUD allows Public Housing Authorities to submit Disposition applications to dispose of all or part of public housing structures and land in excess of what is needed to operate efficiently; and

WHEREAS, the properties at 1302 S. 21^st St. and 4331 N. 69^th St. have extensive renovation needs which exceeds the Scattered Sites’ budget to repair the units to National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE); and

WHEREAS, appraisals were obtained to establish the fair market value of 1302 S. 21^St St. at $104,000 and of 4331 N. 69^th St. at $66,000; and

WHEREAS, the Acting Secretary-Executive Director recommends approving the submission by the Housing Authority of the Disposition application to sell the Scattered Sites single-family properties located at 1302 S. 21^st Street and 4331 N. 69^th St. for fair market value; and be it

RESOLVED, that the recommendation to submit the Disposition application to sell the properties located at 1302 S. 21^st St. and 4331 N. 69^th St. for fair market value is hereby accepted; and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting Secretary-Executive Director is hereby authorized to take whatever action is necessary to complete the submission of the Disposition application to sell the properties located at 1302 S. 21^st St. and 4331 N. 69^th St. for fair market value.
