Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
2nd Aldermanic District
N. 76th St. - 240’+/- South of W. Winfield Ave. to W. Winfield Ave. (SM495250063) File Number 251012: Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $222,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $234,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.

W. Galena St. - Vacated N. 2nd St. to N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. (SM495250022) File Number 250903: Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $260,000, additional funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $737,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.

Sewer Easement Bounded by N. Granville Rd., W. Lolita Ave., N. River View Ct., N. 94th St. (SM495250052) File Number 250756: Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $165,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $180,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.

S. Jasper Ave. - E. Van Norman Ave. to E. Amour Ave. (SM495250032) File Number 241716: Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $86,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $98,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.
now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
