Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2007 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Fire Department, Health Department and Library.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 22, 2006 - October 22, 2006):
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit”, delete one position of “City Librarian (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Milwaukee Public Library Director (X)(Y)”; under “Neighborhood Library and Extension Services Decision Unit, Extension Services Bureau, Neighborhood Services Division”, delete one position of “Manager of Neighborhood and Extension Services (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Neighborhood Libraries and Community Partnerships Director (X)(Y)”; under “Central Library Decision Unit, Central Library Services Bureau”, delete one position of “Manager of Central Library Services (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Central Library and Special Projects Director (X)(Y).”
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2007 - December 31, 2006):
Under “Fire Department, Firefighting Division Decision Unit”, amend footnote “(A)” to read as follows: “One position held by Scott Grossman to be soft red-circled in pay range 863.”
Part 3. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Healthy Behaviors and HealthCare Access Division, Adolescent Community Health Grant (J)”, delete three positions of “Public Health Nurse (0.8 FTE)(G)(J)(MMM)(X)” and add one position of “Public Health Nurse (0.8 FTE)(X)(G)(J)” and two positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(J)”; under “Preventive Health Grant (I)”, delete one position of “Office Assistant II (I)(MMM)” and add one position of “Office Assistant II (I)(J)” and one position of “Health Project Coordinator (.5 FTE)(X)(I); under “Medical Assistance Outreach Program”, delete two positions of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(JJJ)” and one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(S)(CC)” and add two positions of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(MMM)” and one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(S)(CC)(MMM)”, delete footnote (JJJ) in its entirety and amend footnote “(MMM)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/07 unless the Early Identification and Detection of Pregnancy Grant is extended”; amend footnote “(J)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/07 unless the Adolescent Community Health Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Office Assistant II”; amend footnote “(S)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/07 unless the Medical Assistant Outreach Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Public Health Educator II.”
Under “Health Department, Disease Control and Prevention Division, Bioterrorism Grant-Focus CRI/Pandemic Influenza (P)”, delete one position of “Health Project Coordinator/CRI (P)(X)” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator-Emergency Preparedness (P)(X)”; under “Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant (FFF)”, delete one position of “UASI Health Preparedness Coordinator (X)(FFF)” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator-Emergency Preparedness (X)(FFF).”
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 22, 2006 (October 22, 2006).
The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2007 (December 31, 2006).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 6. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
