Mr. Jones noted there was a good response to this bid request. Sanchez had the lowest bid and it was confirmed they had a complete understanding of the scope of work, along with being a 100% certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58076 during the period January 14, 2022 through February 7, 2022 for Painting for Phase 4A Townhomes (Westlawn Renaissance VII) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

 

WHEREAS, three sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CST) on February 7, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on February 7, 2022, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Sanchez Painting Contractors Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $399,997.00; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that it hereby authorizes and approves accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Sanchez Painting Contractors Inc. for Painting for Phase 4A Townhomes (Westlawn Renaissance VII) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Westlawn Renaissance VII Mixed Financing; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if it is determined that such approval is required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. and the officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
