The 2011 City Of Milwaukee Budget appropriated $25,000 in funding for the Illegal Dumping Tip Hotline Special Purpose Account. This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works-Operations Division to expend $25,000 for the Illegal Dumping Tip Hotline Special Purpose Account. The Department of Public Works-Operations Division has selected WeTip Inc. to administer to the hotline.

Whereas, The 2011 City Of Milwaukee Budget appropriated $25,000 in funding for the Illegal Dumping Tip Hotline; and
Whereas, WeTip Inc., a national anonymous crime reporting resource for citizens is currently being used by the Department of Neighborhood Services' to assist in the department's graffiti abatement efforts and by the Milwaukee Police Department as tool to assist crime solving; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works- Operations Division has determined the use of WeTip Inc. is the most efficient and practical way to administer an illegal dumping tip hotline for the City Milwaukee; and
Whereas, In addition to providing funding for WeTip Inc. to administer the hotline, DPW will use a portion of the funding to advertise and promote the illegal dumping tip hotline; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2011 Illegal Dumping Tip Hotline Special Purpose Account (0001-5450-001-S220-006300) and the amount of $25,000 is assigned and authorized for expenditure by the Department of Public Works Operations Division in this resolution shall be deemed to have been appropriated to the assigned to the department for the specific municipal public purpose intended in the budget, and for no other departmental purpose; and, be it
Further Resolved, That such Special Purpose Account shall therefore be deemed eligible for carryover under the provision of Section 65.07(1)(p) Wisconsin Statutes; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper city officials are authorized to enter into necessary contracts for the purpose listed.
