Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $204,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $3,185,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $204,000 with the total cost estimated to be $3,185,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
3rd and 4th Aldermanic District
N. Astor St. - E. Lyon St. to E. Pleasant St. (SM495260038) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $162,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.
E. Pleasant St. - N. Van Buren St. to N. Humboldt Ave. (SM495260037) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $618,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

N. 12th Ln. - W. Juneau Ave. to 150’ +/- North of W. Juneau Ave. (SM495260039) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $81,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

Area bound by N. 54th St., N. 58th St., W. Vienna Ave., W. Capitol Dr. (Grasslyn Manor PPII Phase 2). (SM494260012) Sanitary sump pumps. (Nonassessable Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $50,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

N. 38th St. - W. Park Hill Ave. to W. Mt Vernon Ave. (SM495260044) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $170,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $131,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.
W. Park Hill Ave. - N. 35th St. to 400’ +/- West of N. 38th St. (SM495260045) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $553,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

S. 46th St. - W. Oklahoma Ave. to W. Forest Home Ave. (SM495260042) Relaying sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $90,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

N. 47th St. - W. Wright St. to W. Clarke St. (SM495260040) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $281,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.
W. Clarke St. - N. 44th St. to N. 48th St. (SM495260041) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,049,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2027 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
