This resolution will allow the City of Greenfield to connect to a City of Milwaukee storm sewer facility in the City of Milwaukee right-of-way in West Wilbur Avenue approximately 126' west of South 55th Street.
BODY:
Whereas, On January 18, 2000, the City of Greenfield adopted Resolution Number 2925, a copy of which is made part of Common Council File No. 991682, requesting permission to connect a storm sewer to the existing City of Milwaukee storm sewer in West Wilbur Avenue west of South 55th Street located at the City of Greenfield/City of Milwaukee corporate limits; and
 
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee storm sewer was designed to accept the storm water runoff from the area that will be draining into this storm sewer; and
 
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee storm sewer was built to accept a connection at this location; and
 
Whereas, It has been the policy of the City of Milwaukee to cooperate with other communities along its boundaries in matters of this nature; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City of Greenfield is granted permission to connect a storm sewer to the existing City of Milwaukee storm sewer in West Wilbur Avenue at approximately 126' west of South 55th Street located at the City of Greenfield/City of Milwaukee corporate limits under the following conditions:
 
1.      That all work shall be done at no cost to the City of Milwaukee.
 
2.      That the City of Greenfield require its contractor to notify the City of Milwaukee Sewer Maintenance Field Operations Section three (3) days prior to making connection to the City of Milwaukee sewer.
 
3.      That the City of Greenfield shall be responsible for the maintenance of their storm sewers and their connections to City of Milwaukee facilities.
