Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2009 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Police Department-Police Aides (Milwaukee Police Association) and Department of Public Works-Water Works
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 080521 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 006, delete the title “Water Research Chemist.”
Under Salary Grade 007, delete the title “Water Quality Analyst” and add the title “Water Quality Operations Manager.”
Part 2. Section 6 of ordinance File Number 080521 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2007 - December 31, 2006):
Under Pay Range 480 delete the rates of pay and substitute therefor the following:

Part 3. Section 6 of ordinance File Number 080521 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2008 - December 30, 2007):
Under Pay Range 480 delete the rates of pay and substitute therefor the following:

Part 4. Section 6 of ordinance File Number 080521 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2009 - December 28, 2008):
Under Pay Range 480 delete the rates of pay and substitute therefor the following:

Part 5. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 080521 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 598, add the title “Water Quality Analyst.”
Part 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 7. The provisions of Section 2 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2007 (December 31, 2006).
The provisions of Section 3 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2008 (December 30, 2007).
The provisions of Section 4 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2009 (December 28, 2008).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 8. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
