Title

Resolution to authorize the naming of West Sonata Drive and Sonata Circle as private roads internal to the Wilson Commons Senior Living Community located on the west side of South 13^th Street and north of West Bolivar Avenue, in the 13^th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

The Wilson Commons Senior Living Community is going to be located on the west side of South 13^th Street and north of West Bolivar Avenue. This senior development includes many individual buildings that do not front on South 13^th Street but rather on an internal road system. By the City recognizing the private roads known as West Sonata Drive and Sonata Circle, addresses can be assigned from these private roads to support mail delivery and emergency service responses. The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the naming of West Sonata Drive and Sonata Circle as private roads.

Body

Whereas, The Wilson Commons Senior Living Community located on the west side of South 13^th Street and north of West Bolivar Avenue has an internal road system to support traffic circulation within their complex; and

Whereas, By the City recognizing West Sonata Drive and Sonata Circle as private roads, building addresses can be assigned to support mail delivery and emergency services responses; and

Whereas, Chapter 113-1 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for the naming of private roads and will be complied with in that these roads will be marked with brown street signs and the centerlines have been described so that these roads can be identified on the City's engineering quarter sections; and

Whereas, As a condition of adopting this resolution, the Wilson Commons Senior Living Community is responsible for placing these brown street signs at their cost as well as a stop sign on West Sonata Drive so that eastbound traffic will stop at South 13^th Street; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described private road be described as follows:

West Sonata Drive

A private road on the west side of South 13^th Street and north of West Bolivar Avenue located in a part of the southeast ¼ of the northeast ¼ of section 19, town 6 north, range 22 east in the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at the southeast corner of said ¼ section; thence north along the east line of said ¼ section 562.99 feet to a point; thence north 89°55'05" west 45.00 feet to a point on the west line of South 13^th Street; thence north along said west line 342.99 feet to the point of beginning of the lands to be described; thence north 75°00'00" west 10.35 feet to a point; thence west 12.00 feet to a point; thence north 84°17'22" west 30.15 feet to a point; thence west 521.00 feet to a point; thence north 30.00 feet to a point; thence east 521.00 feet to a point; thence north 84°17'22" east 30.15 feet to a point; thence east 12.00 feet to a point; thence north 75°00'00" east 10.35 feet to a point on the west line of South 13^th Street; thence south 41.36 feet to the point of beginning.

Sonata Circle

A private road connected to West Sonata Drive located in part of the southeast ¼ of the northeast ¼ of section 19, town 6 north, range 22 east in the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin bounded and described as follows:
