Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $575,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $4,753,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $575,000 with the total cost estimated to be $4,753,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
Meaux Park (W. Villard Ave - N. 22nd St. to N. Green Bay Ave.) (SM499240007) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $230,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
N. 31st St. - W. Capitol Dr. to 250’ North of W. Capitol Dr. (SM497240301) Stormwater pond. (Nonassessable Flood Mitigation Fund -- $55,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $1,433,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
1st and 7th Aldermanic Districts
Harriet Tubman Park (N. 48th St. - W. Glendale Ave. to W. Hampton Ave.) (SM499240008) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $140,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
5th Aldermanic District
Lindsay Park (W. Marion St., W. Congress St., N. 84th St., N. 87th St.) (SM499240009) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $350,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
Traffic Triangles (W. Auer Ave., N. 87th St., W. Townsend St., and N. 85th St.) (SM499240010) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $120,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

N. Halyard St. - W. Brown St. to W. Garfield Ave. (SM499240015) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $100,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
W. Hampton Ave. - N. Port Washington Rd. to N. Anita Ave. (SM499240014) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

W. Brown St. - N. 7th St. to N. 8th St. (SM499240019) Installing Bioswale Bumpouts. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
7th Aldermanic District
N. 53rd St. School (W. Keefe Ave. and N. 51st Blvd.) (SM499240006) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

S. 20th St. - W. Cleveland Ave. to W. Lincoln Ave. (SM499240013) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $180,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

N. 97th St. - W. Beatrice St. to W. Allyn St. (SM499240012) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $90,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
W. Dean Rd. - N. 72nd St. to N. Servite Dr. (SM499240011) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $130,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
10th Aldermanic District
Retaining Wall Replacement (4600 West State Street) (BR100240108): Preliminary engineering for replacement of retaining wall along Menomonee River. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund - $100,000). The total estimated cost for this project is $350,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
11th Aldermanic District and City of Greenfield
W. Howard Av. - S. 43rd St. to S. 60th St.- Group 7 (ST216240109) Asphalt surface overlay. (Nonassessable High Impact Paving Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $550,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
14th Aldermanic District
S. Carferry Dr. - E. Lincoln Ave. to WI-794 Freeway (SM499240018) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $120,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
N. 40th St. - W. Vliet St. to W. Lisbon Ave. (SM499240016) Installing Bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost of this project is $360,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
