Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2026 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Health Department (Clinical Services Division, Family & Community Health Division), Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250699 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Health Department, Family & Community Health Division, delete one position of “Family & Community Health Director (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Deputy Commissioner of Community Health (X)(Y)(MCH)(NBS)”
Under Police Department, add new footnote (DD) to read as follows:
(DD) Domestic Violence High Risk Team (DVHRT) Grant: Position authority to expire if grant funding is discontinued or on 10/31/2026, unless the DVHRT Grant is extended.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250699 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 2026 - June 21, 2026):
Under Health Department, Clinical Services Division, Laboratory, delete one position of “Virologist-Senior” and.add one position of “Microbiologist - Senior”, delete one position of “Virologist” and add one position of “Microbiologist”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2026 (June 21, 2026).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
