Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2000 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Employes' Retirement System", delete one position of "Assistant Executive Director" and one position of "Pension Financial Manager" and add one position of "Employes' Retirement System-Deputy Director" and one position of "Chief Investment Officer"; under "Management Support Services", add one position of "Pension Investment Analyst"; under "Fiscal Services", delete one position of "Business Operations Manager" and add one position of "ERS Financial Officer"; under "Auxiliary Positions", delete one position of "Executive Director (A)", one position of "Deputy Executive Director (A)", one position of "Member Services Manager (A)", one position of "Chief Investment Officer (A)", one position of "Controller (A)" and one position of "Investment Analyst (A)."
Under "Fire and Police Commission", add footnote designation "(X)" to one position of "Public Relations Officer."
Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit, Chronic Disease Division", delete one position of "Community Services Specialist-Senior (X)" and add one position of "Injury and Violence Prevention Program Coordinator (X)" and under "FDA Compliance Check Grant", add one position of "Environmental Enforcement Officer II (X)" and five positions of "Student Interns (200 DLH)" and add footnote "(AA)" as follows: "To expire 1/31/01 unless the FDA Compliance Check Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, is extended." and under "Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic, Sexually Transmitted Disease Grant", add one position of "Office Assistant II (.6 FTE)" and amend footnote "(F)" as follows: "To expire 12/31/00 unless the Sexually Transmitted Disease Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Service is extended."
Under "Police Department", amend footnote "(N)" to read: "(N) Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant" Three Office Assistant II positions to expire 12/31/00 unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended." and under "Administration/Services Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau", delete one position of "Information Systems Manager" and substitute therefor one position of "Information Systems Manager-MPD" and under "Data Services Division", delete one position of "Automated Systems Specialist" and substitute therefor one position of "Network Manager"; delete one position of "Police Data Communications Specialist" and substitute therefor one position of "Data Communications Specialist"; delete two positions of "Microcomputer Coordinator" and substitute therefor two positions of "Network Coordinator-Senior."
Under "Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, Fields Operations-Street and Bridges Operations Decision Unit, Information and Records Division", delete one position of "Office Assistant II" and add one position of "Administrative Assistant II."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2000 - December 26, 1999):
Under "Assessor's Office, Systems and Administration Division", delete one position of "Systems and Administration Supervisor (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Network Administrator (X)(Y)."
Under "Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit, Bureau of Administration", delete one position of "Fire Financial Officer" and substitute therefor one position of "Management and Accounting Officer"; delete one position of "Office Assistant I" and substitute therefor one position of "Office Assistant II."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2000 (December 26, 1999).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
