Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $252,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $2,853,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $252,000 with the total cost estimated to be $2,853,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
4th, 8th, and 12th Aldermanic Districts
N 16th St. - Bridge over the Menomonee River (BR100200108): Consultant design services for in-depth inspection of bascule bridge. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund - $100,000). The total estimated cost for this project is $100,000. The project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020-2021 construction season.
6th Aldermanic District
N. 2nd St. - 300’ south of W. Hadley St. to W. Hadley St. (SM495200052) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $100,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
N. 23rd St. - W. Nash St. to W. Vienna Ave. (SM495200044) Relaying storm sewer.
(Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $139,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $380,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.

W. Armour Ave. - S. 1st St. to S. 5th St. (SM495200048) Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $406,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
ABB S. Howell Ave.-S. 6th St. and W. Bolivar Ave. to W. Layton Ave. (SM4942000012) Sanitary Sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $452,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
W. Morgan Ave. - S. 15th Pl. to S. 17th St. (SM495200046) Relaying sanitary sewer and Sanitary Sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $87,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
S. 1st St. - W. Armour Ave. to 150’ south of W. Armour Ave. (SM495200049) Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $44,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
S. 5th St. - 120’ north of W. Norman Ave. to Wilson Park Creek. (SM495200050) Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $166,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $667,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $151,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
N. 40th St. - W. McKinley Ave. to W. Vliet St. (SM495200053) Combined sewer lining
(Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $41,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2021 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
