Analysis

The ordinance tranfers the management of city records from Document Services Section in the Department of Administration, Business Operations Division to the Common Council-City Clerk’s Office, effectuating an amendment to the 2016 Budget.

Currently, the city clerk is required to charge a fee for certified copies of records and papers.  The ordinance repeals this obsolete provision.
