Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 004, delete the title "Urban Homestead Coordinator."
Under Salary Grade 009, delete the titles "Grant Monitor Manager" and "Urban Development Coordinator."
Under Salary Grade 011, add the titles "Associate Director" and "Urban Development Manager."
Part 2. Section 3 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 240, delete the title "Voting Machine Custodian" and substitute in lieu thereof "Voting Machine Technician."
Part 3. Section 3 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Under Pay Range 235, in footnote "1/", delete the current biweekly rate of $1,073.50 and substitute $1,103.02.
Part 4. Section 3 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1998 - December 28, 1997):
Under Pay Range 235, in footnote "1/", delete the current biweekly rate of $1,103.02 and substitute $1,133.35.
Part 5. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 1998 - July 12, 1998):
Under Salary Grade 009, add the title "Information Systems Manager."
Part 6. Section 15 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 1998 - July 26, 1998):
Under Pay Range 724, delete the existing top step and substitute therefor the following: $1,246.00.
Part 7. Section 23 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Under Pay Range 929, in footnote "2/", delete the current hourly rates of $10.18 and $10.75 and substitute the rates $10.46 and $11.05.
Part 8. Section 23 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1998 - December 28, 1997):
Under Pay Range 929, in footnote "2/", delete the currently hourly rates of $10.46 and $11.05 and substitute the rates $10.75 and $11.35.
Part 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 10. The provisions of Parts 3 & 7 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1997 (December 29, 1996).
The provisions of Parts 4 & 8 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1998 (December 28, 1997).
The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 1998 (July 12, 1998).
The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 1998 (July 26, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 11. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
