Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2020 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of Administration, Health Department, Department of Neighborhood Services

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 190613 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 2019 - June 30, 2019):

 

Under Pay Range 1EX, add the title of “Strong Babies Program Manager (8)(22)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 190613 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 2EN, delete the title of “Fire Protection Engineer (15)(30)” and add the title of “Fire Protection Engineer I (15)(31)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 190613 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2020 - December 29, 2019):

 

Under Pay Range 2DN, delete the title of “Public Health Social Worker (1)(15)”, add the title of “Public Health Social Worker 1 (1)(5)”, and create new footnotes “(1)” and “(15)” to read as follows:

 

“(1)                     Recruitment is at $2,040.46 biweekly ($53,051.96 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

“(15)                     Recruitment is at $2,101.67 biweekly ($54,643.42 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

Under Pay Range 2EN, add the title of “Public Health Social Worker 2 (16)(32)” and create new footnotes “(16)” and “(32)” to read as follows:

 

“(16)                     Recruitment is at $2,142.48 biweekly, ($55,704.48 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

“(32)                     Recruitment is at $2,206.75 biweekly, ($57,375.50 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

Under Pay Range 2FN, add the title of “Public Health Social Worker 3 (9)(18)” and create new footnotes “(9)” and “(18)” to read as follows:

 

“(9)                     Recruitment is at $2,249.60 biweekly, ($58,489.60 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

“(18)                     Recruitment is at $2,317.09 biweekly, ($60,244.34 annual) and may be at any point in the range based upon experience and credentials with the authority of DER.”

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 190613 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 4, 2020 - February 9, 2020):

 

Under Pay Range 2FX, add the title of “Creative Design and Brand Specialist”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 9 of ordinance File Number 190613 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Ranges 9BN through 9RX, delete “Official Rate Hourly” and replace with “Official Rate Biweekly”, remove the boldface of the “Hourly” wage rate and resident wage incentive rows, and boldface the “Biweekly” wage rate and resident wage incentive rows. 

 

Part 6.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2019 (June 30, 2019).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2020 (December 29, 2019).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 4, 2020 (February 9, 2020).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 10.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
