Analysis

Resolution granting permission to the Builders Brick and Materials plant located at 12005 West Hampton Avenue in the City of Wauwatosa to connect to City of Milwaukee sanitary and storm sewers.

Body

Whereas, On September 2, 2003, the City of Wauwatosa adopted Resolution No. R-03-209 requesting permission for connection of a property located at 12005 West Hampton Avenue.  The said connection is to be made to the City of Milwaukee (City) sanitary and storm facilities in West Hampton Avenue and North 119th Street for the Builders Brick and Materials plant which is located at 12005 West Hampton Avenue; and

 

Whereas, Said City of Milwaukee sanitary and storm sewers have adequate capacity to convey the flows from this property; and

 

Whereas, Builders Brick and Materials submitted a Storm Water Management Plan for this location for City approval; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that permission is hereby granted to allow the connection of an 8-inch sanitary and 12-inch storm building sewers along the south side of West Hampton Avenue and the west side of North 119th Street, from the Builders Brick and Materials plant at 12005 West Hampton Avenue to City sanitary and storm sewers under the following conditions:

 

1)  That all work be done at no cost or expense to the City.

 

2)  That the City of Wauwatosa shall require the contractor to obtain a permit for excavating in a public right-of-way and other applicable permits from the Commissioner of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee before commencing work within the limits of the City.

 

3)  That all work done in connection with sanitary and storm building sewers must be done in conformance with the rules and regulations of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, City Plumbing Code and State of Wisconsin Plumbing Code.

 

4)  That written notice shall be given by the plumbing contractor to the City Sewer Maintenance Section three days prior to making connections to City sewers.

 

5)  That the Builders Brick and Materials plant shall be responsible for the maintenance of their sanitary and storm sewers and their connection to City facilities in the City right-of-way.
