Substitute resolution amending Common Council File #100789 relative to the application, acceptance and funding of the 2010 Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant.
Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File #100789 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Milwaukee Health Departments portion of the 2010 Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant. The purpose of the grant is to enhance the security and overall preparedness of the Milwaukee Urban Area to prevent, respond to and recover from acts of terrorism and other critical incidents in a multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary manner.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File #100789 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Milwaukee Health Departments portion of the 2010 Urban Areas Security Initiative Program Grant.  The grant provided for a Grantor share total of $210,284; and
 
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program has remained the same, however the budget has been amended; now, therefore be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2012 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 110441, should be amended as follows:
