Analysis

This ordinance creates a code provision permitting 2-sided night parking year round and lists 2 streets on which such parking is permitted.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 101-27-3-b of the code is repealed and recreated to read:

101-27.  All Night Parking.

3.  ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING.

b.  Exceptions to alternate side parking.  Two exceptions are provided to alternate side parking:

b-1-a.  Except when parking is prohibited on one side, vehicles may be parked on both sides of designated streets from March 1 to November 30.

b-1-b.  Designated streets are to be found in the common council proceedings, the official record on file in the city clerk's office, and the code on file in the legislative reference bureau.

b-2-a.  Except when parking is prohibited on one side, vehicles may be parked on both sides of designated streets year round.

Part 2.  Section 101-27-3-b-1-b of the code relating to exception to alternate side overnight parking is amended by striking the following:

 

On West Highland Boulevard from North 27 Street to North 35th Street

 

On West McKinley Avenue from North 27th Street to North 35th Street

 

 

Part 3.  Section 101-27-3-b-2-b of the code relating to exception to alternate side overnight parking is amended by adding the following:

 

On West Highland Boulevard from North 27th Street to North 35th Street

 

On West McKinley Avenue from North 27th Street to North 35th Street
