This resolution designates Trinity Lutheran Church Complex as an Historic Site.
BODY:
Whereas, The Milwaukee Historic Preservation Ordinance, Section 308-81 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, as amended, provides that Historic Sites, Structures and Districts may be designated by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee upon the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission; and
Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission recommends that Trinity Lutheran Church Complex, 1046 North 9th Street, be designated as an Historic Site; and
Whereas, This Site possesses integrity of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship and association and fulfills the following criterion set forth in Section 308-81(2)(e):
e-4. Portrays the environment of a group of people in an era of history characterized by a distinctive architectural style.
e-5. Its embodiment of the distinguishing characteristics of an architectural type or specimen.
e-6. Its identification as the work of an artist, architect, interior designer, craftsperson or master builder whose individual works have influenced the development of the City of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin or of the United States.
e-9. Its unique location as a singular physical characteristic which represents an established and familiar visual feature of a neighborhood, community or the City of Milwaukee.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Trinity Lutheran Church Complex, 1046 North 9th Street, and further described as follows:
Tax Key Number: 361-1657-000
Legal Description: Plat of East Half of the NW 1/4 sec 29-7-22 block 162 lots 1 to 8
be designated as a Milwaukee Historic Site. The Preservation Guidelines pursuant to the Historic Designation Study Report, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, shall apply to this Site and are adopted by the Common Council as part of this resolution.
